With our senior and baby boomer skits you will find this is a fun way to bring back the past and show the younger generation what life was like.
During the baby boomer era, the man's job was to support his family and the woman's job was to stay home and take care of the kids. Now this was the American dream. A home in the suburbs, dad holding down a job, and when he came home from work, mom had her cooking apron on and the kids all clean and fresh and all waiting for daddy at the front door.
In Europe and North America boomers are widely associated with privilege, as many grew up in a time of widespread government subsidies in post-war housing and education and increasing affluence.
As a group they were the wealthiest, most active, and most physically fit generation up to that time, and among the first to grow up genuinely expecting the world to improve with time. They were also the generation that received peak levels of income, therefore they could reap the benefits of abundant levels of food, apparel and retirement programs.
One feature of the boomers was that they tended to think of themselves as a special generation. A time of family, love and Church, but then it happened that the boomers were older and now having children of their own. The kids grew up and moved away and mom and dad, if still together, were always reminiscing of life in the fifties and sixties.
It was mostly unheard of for mothers to work out of the homes and that would sometimes bring disgrace to the family if they did.
But then things changed, time moved on, and left a huge hole in the life of many. Now in this day and age you became single either through death of a spouse or a divorce. Then it opened up a whole new world with, what's this? Online dating? This must be a joke! Who in a million years would have thought that being an older baby boomer you would ever need or be in the market for a date, no less online dating? Gone are the good ole days, for this is the new wave and the future is now.
Now computers would be picking out your dates, not like it was when you would be bringing him home to mom and dad while they interviewed him and had him squirming in the chair, blushing and all red in the face, and shuddering his words and probably wishing he never met you.
But if he passed, then came the cookies and milk and maybe a few more rules, like don't get my daughter pregnant and we want her home by 10. And if you're late, we will have a shotgun waiting for you, and they did not mean shotgun wedding.
Now it's 50 years later and gone are the good ole days. We offer these free baby boomer skits so you can bring back the past with funny and humorous laughs. A time for remembrance and when things in life were so simple.
We hope that you share and enjoy these skits written firsthand by our own self-published author. Who lived the dream!
