Airplane Fingerplays

These airplane fingerplays are all about, you guessed it, airplanes!  These are great to do with small children as you are planning a trip on an airplane and to do while you are waiting at the airport and again on the airplane.  These are also fun to do in a classroom setting with many children being airplanes.  The children love them because there is just something so exciting about airplanes.

Airplane in the Sky

Oh, look.  And see the airplane

Away up in the sky.

Watch us gliding through the air.

This is how we fly.

The airplane has great big wings.
(Arms outstretched.)

Its propeller spins around and sings, "Vvvvvv!"
(Roll hands over each other very fast.)

The airplane goes up.
(Lift arms in air.)

The airplane goes down.
(Lower arms and scrunch down.)

The airplane flies high.
(Arms outstretched, stand up and and run around like you are flying.)

Over the town!
